Conservative women’s PAC endorses 8 lege candidates

The Voices of Conservative Women political action committee (VOICESPAC), based in Maple Grove, has endorsed eight candidates for the Minnesota state Legislature, three in the Senate and five in the House.

“These candidates understand that for our economy to grow and for our state to prosper, we must be good fiscal stewards of state finances,” Jennifer DeJournett, the group’s director, said in a statement. “These women leaders understand that people provide the best solutions, not a larger, intrusive government.”

The endorsed Senate candidates — which the PAC said are part of its “first round” of endorsements” — are Michelle Benson of Ham Lake, who is running for the seat being vacated by Sen. Debbie Johnson, R-Ham Lake; Norann Dillon of Plymouth, who is challenging incumbent Sen. Terri Bonoff, DFL-Minnetonka; and Karin Housley of St. Marys Point, challenging incumbent Sen. Katie Sieben, DFL-St. Paul.

For the House, the PAC endorsed Diane Anderson of Eagan, challenging Rep. Sandra Masin, DFL-Eagan; Mary Franson of Alexandria, running for the seat being vacated by Rep. Mary Ellen Otremba, DFL-Long Lake; Kathy Lohmer of Lake Elmo, challenging incumbent Rep. Julie Bunn, DFL-Lake Elmo; Pam Myhra of Burnsville, challenging incumbent Rep. Will Morgan, DFL-Burnsville; and Sanu Patel-Zellinger of Bloomington, challenging incumbent Rep. Ann Lenczewski, DFL-Bloomington.
