The campaign of DFL-endorsed candidate for governor Margaret Anderson Kelliher plans to begin airing television ads after the Fourth of July, a campaign spokesman said today.
“We’re going to have the resources to win this race in August and the resources to win in November,” Matt Swenson, Kelliher’s communications director, said, although he acknowledged that the ads haven’t yet been placed.
Kelliher is late to the party when it comes to airing TV ads: Her two DFL primary opponents, Mark Dayton and Matt Entenza, have spent tens of thousands of dollars on TV time bookings in the weeks immediately preceding the Aug. 10 primary.
You can read more about the three candidates’ spending on TV and radio ads in the Thursday issue of the St. Paul Capitol Report.
