The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has added Tarryl Clark’s campaign for Congress to its “Red-to-Blue” program, signifying that the DCCC believes that Clark can unseat Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann in November.
Clark was one of 26 congressional challengers named to the latest version of the DCCC list.
“It’s an important recognition that we have built an unprecedented grassroots organization capable of defeating Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and restoring effective leadership to the 6th District,” Clark campaign manager Zach Rodvold said in a statement.
Rodvold said Clark has amassed an “unprecedented” grassroots network of more than 15,000 donors since she entered the race 10 months ago. The campaign has hundreds of active volunteers and “thousands more” signed up, he said.
