Myhre leaves Kelliher campaign

DFL-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher’s communications director is leaving the campaign to go back to her old job.
Allison Myhre joined the campaign Jan. 1 and handled communications at the DFL State Convention in Duluth where Kelliher beat a crowded field for the party’s endorsement. Myhre, who lives in Fergus Falls, will return to 7th Congressional District Rep. Collin Peterson’s office where she was previously press secretary.
Matt Swenson, a House DFL communications specialist, has taken a leave of absence from the caucus until November to become Kelliher’s press secretary and new media director. He joins the Kelliher campaign tomorrow.
In the Aug. 10 DFL primary, Kelliher is being challenged by Mark Dayton and Matt Entenza.
