On Friday afternoon, Gov. Tim Pawlenty affixed his scribble to a bill extending health insurance for indigent single adults to the end of Minnesota’s current budget period, in June of next year. In so doing he put an ostensible finish to the most pitched drama of Session 2010’s first half, a protracted tussle that led to ad nauseam closed-door meetings and ultimately a backroom revolt on the part of House Republicans against their lame-duck governor.
