With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Mark Dayton has been voted the first DFL governor-elect in 24 years, beating Republican Tom Emmer by a final margin of fewer than 10,000 votes out of more than 2 million cast.
However, the exceedingly slim margin – less than half of one percent – will trigger an automatic recount.

The vote totals below are the unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office. All results are unofficial until certified by the State Canvassing board.
