Haley N. Schaffer has been elected a partner of Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP. Schaffer is a member of the firm’s litigation group and focuses her practice on trial and appellate work in complex commercial disputes and business torts. She received her law degree from Northwestern University Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
Daniel R. Burgess and Lauren J. Galgano have joined the Minneapolis office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. as associates. Both practice in the firm’s intellectual property litigation and licensing group. Burgess earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2009 and his bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in 2004. Galgano earned her law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2008 and her bachelor’s degree from the university in 2005.
Christopher Burns, a partner with Henson & Efron, P.A., has received two Certificates of Recognition/Appreciation — one from Gov. Tim Pawlenty and one from Minnesota Education Commissioner Alice Seagren — for his work as a board member and past chair of the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation. Burns’s second term on the board ends in January.
