Heath care advocates call for early Medicaid expansion

A coalition of health care organizations is calling on Gov. Tim Pawlenty and the Legislature to scrap a deal to save the General Assistance Medical Care program. Instead, they want Minnesota to add the roughly 35,000 individuals currently enrolled in the health insurance program for poor, childless adults to the federal Medicaid rolls.
