David Brown has been named Chief Deputy Hennepin County Attorney, replacing Pat Diamond, who was recently named to the bench in Ramsey County. Brown started with the county attorney’s office in 1985 as a law clerk and has worked in child protection, white collar crime, the drug team, and adult prosecution and currently is in appeals. He is also the office’s point person at the Legislature and was instrumental in getting the law passed last session that made it a felony to neglect vulnerable adults, said office spokesperson Chuck Laszewski.
