    As a new attorney, I’m thankful I began my career in Minnesota. “Minnesota nice” is alive and well among the members of our bar. This has made all the difference for me in these difficult economic times.

    Yeah, everyone’s too nice to tell you that being a new attorney in Minnesota isn’t worth the while.

    Ex-RB, it depends what you got into law for, I guess.

    Well, I can tell you that a good number of my classmates went into law expecting at least a halfway-decent living upon graduation and some still don’t have one. That was in 2006 – my ‘09 friend reports an even higher percentage of woe among his class. And upon my firm’s dissolution in 2007, I can tell you that I wasn’t able to make that halfway-decent living again until I got OUT of law. Enjoy the collegial atmosphere in this “profession.”
