At Minneapolis law firm Nilan Johnson Lewis, labor and employment lawyer Jen Cornell has been promoted to shareholder. Cornell defends many types of employers in state and federal court against wage-and-hour claims, workplace investigations, EEOC class investigations, discrimination claims, and other employment and labor matters. She also advises tech startups before and after they hire their first employees, counseling employers through hiring and recruiting audits, misclassification audits and defense, reductions in force, and other issues.

Cordell & Cordell, recently hired Associate Attorney Niecie M. Strand in its Edina office. Strand earned her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Minnesota.

Denise Kettelberger, Ph.D., a patent attorney with nearly three decades of experience in intellectual property law, has joined Patterson Thuente IP.  Kettelberger brings her technical knowledge to the firm’s biological and chemical sciences team.

Knoll’s diverse practice includes business disputes and class actions as well as internal investigations and white-collar criminal defense.  Knoll joins Greene Espel after practicing for over two years at the law firm of Faegre Baker Daniels.

Devon Steinmeyer has joined the corporate group of Faegre Baker Daniels as an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Steinmeyer advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance strategies, commercial lending and corporate governance.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Steinmeyer practiced law with Lathrop & Gage LLP in Kansas City, Missouri, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, business funding and formation, and other corporate governance and general contract matters.

Attorney Marie Williams has joined Fredrikson & Byron as an associate in the Litigation Group. Williams assists clients in a variety of litigation matters. Before joining Fredrikson, she attended the University of Michigan Law School, where she worked as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurship Clinic and the Community and Economic Development Clinic.
