Critics say law to curb drive-by ADA lawsuits might kill remedies

A bill to curtail public accommodation “drive-by lawsuits” on behalf of people with disabilities is one floor vote away from Senate passage. Yet its chief author is working to mitigate unintended consequences that could block legitimate damages.
