Beau Berentson will succeed John Kostouros as the director of communications and public affairs for the Minnesota Judicial Branch on May 21. Kostouros retired in January.
Berentson most recently was the communications and media relations director for the Minnesota State Senate and also works as a policy analyst and lobbyist for the Association of Minnesota Counties. His hiring was announced by Chief Justice Lorie Gildea and State Court Administrator Jeff Shorba.
“Beau brings to the position exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to develop effective external and internal strategic communications,” Shorba said in a prepared statement. “His work at the Legislature and with local units of government will also significantly help the Judicial Branch maintain our relationships with these important partners.”
