Bloomington law firm Larkin Hoffman is moving a few exits down Interstate 494 to the Normandale Lake Office Park.
The firm announced a new long-term lease Monday. The move in date is Jan. 1, 2015. Larkin hired Studio Hive for about $2.5 million to design a complete build out of 49,000 square feet on the 9th and 10th floors.
The building is located at 494 and Highway 100. The firm has been located at the Wells Fargo Plaza at 494 near France Avenue for more than 40 years.
The location is close the airport and provides the kinds of amenities the clients asked for, said firm president Bill Griffith. There is plenty of parking and large conference rooms overlooking Normandale Lake.
“Of great importance is the easy access we provide clients in our suburban location. We are excited to be moving to a nearby location that will allow us to grow, provide comfortable space for our employees and continue to offer the efficient service appreciated by our clients,” Griffith said in a press release.
The new office will be slightly larger, the firm said, but maximizing efficiency was a goal.
“These offices will allow our attorneys to work very efficiently while keeping our clients’ costs low, said Dick Knutson, the firm’s chief operating officer.
At 75 lawyers Larkin is the largest firm outside the downtown core in the Twin Cities. Its practice areas include corporate, business litigation, real estate, land use and government relations.
