Minneapolis attorney reprimanded

Minneapolis attorney Thomas L. Owens has been reprimanded and placed on supervised probation for two years.

The Minnesota Supreme Court, which issued the order, found that Owens neglected a client matter, failed to communicate with a client, and failed to respond to telepone calls from the attorney of a former client in violation of the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct.

Under the terms of Owens’ probation, he must be supervised by a licensed Minnesota attorney, cooperate with any requests for information from Martin Cole, the director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and follow the Rules of Professional Conduct, among other requirements.
