The takeaway for outside counsel trying to get noticed by would-be clients, or to build on existing relationships, is that it’s important to maintain a digital presence.
The percentage of respondents not using media like blogs and social media shrunk from 43 percent in 2010 to 27 percent in 2013.
- 55 percent of respondents said they read attorney authored blogs.
- 55 percent said they access law firm web- sites and YouTube channels to view video content.
- 53 percent said a well-executed blog would influence hiring decisions.
The survey was conducted by Greentarget and the Zeughauser Group and a total of 379 in-house counsel responded.
