It’s a happy holiday party — smiles, hugs, drinks and so forth. Good food, laughs all around, then a man with a severe frown enters the party and looks daggers at all the guests. They all freeze in their places. Look around with trepidation. Then the grouchy man leans his head back and roars with laughter. Everybody relaxes.
That’s the holiday video from William Mitchell College of Law, and if you went there, you guessed that the grouchy man is professor Douglas Heidenreich. On Jan. 23, the school will commemorate Heidenreich’s 50 years at Mitchell as professor and dean. He is also a WMCL graduate, class of ’61. Stop by the auditorium at the law school between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and share happy reminiscences of the Uniform Commercial Code with the professor and 50 years of alums.
