False Claims Act expands in age of regulation (access required)

The quest to root out fraud is breathing new life into a Civil War-era statute known as the False Claims Act. The original FCA law was passed because President Abraham Lincoln and Congress wanted help rooting out procurement fraud against the Union Army.
