National Pro Bono week is Oct. 21-27 and will be recognized by the Minnesota bar in a big way.

The Minnesota Bar Association will sponsor the Pro Bono CLE “Real Faces of Pro Bono” at noon Oct. 24 at Faegre Baker Daniels in Minneapolis. This program will feature remarks by Chief Justice Lorie Gildea of the Minnesota Supreme Court and a panel of attorneys and clients discussing the importance of their work together. At the conclusion of the program, representatives from legal service provider organizations will be available to discuss ways you can volunteer. One elimination of bias CLE credit has been applied for. The cost is a very reasonable $20 by Oct. 19th or $25 thereafter (including lunch). For more information go to www.projusticemn.org.

“In these economic times it is particularly important for all of us to do what we can to ensure access to justice for low-income Minnesotans,” said MSBA President Bob Enger. For additional information on Pro Bono week activities, please contact Steve Marchese, MSBA Pro Bono Development Director, at smarchese@mnbar.org or 612-278-6308.
