Sometimes one word can change the meaning of everything. For example, the concept of a “used car” long connoted a vehicle that was questionable at best and unreliable at worst. Then luxury car makers like Cadillac and Mercedes came up with the marketing concept of a “pre-owned vehicle,” and suddenly a commodity that was looked down upon seemed more valuable.
