House lawmakers send DOMA case to U.S. Supreme Court (access required)

House Republicans, who vowed last year to defend federal challenges to the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act after the Justice Department announced it would no longer do so, have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to take up the issue.
