University of St. Thomas responds to deranking

Thomas Mengler

University of St. Thomas Dean Thomas Mengler writes that he should know that no good deed goes unpunished.

After self-reporting a mistake in the statistics it sent to U.S. News and World Report, the school is being severely punished.  Without warning and in a blog post no less, it has been deranked. As Mengler points out in an open letter to U.S. News, that’s a departure from its previous policy of not changing schools’ rankings, even if the school lies in its report.  You can read the open letter to Bob Morse of U.S. News here.
